This Type-Spec Booklet taught me to think in a more 3-dimensional way for the design and what a challenge it was!

 

For this project, the task was to create a layout entirely consisting of type from a single font and marry it with another concept to design one amazing booklet. My assigned font was Palatino, a classic font that has a refined and elegant feel but not as stiff as most serif fonts. The organic-feel of this font is one of the main reasons why I chose to marry it to one of the most famous pieces of artworks in history, Edvard Munch's "The Scream". 

 

Everything including the said painting is created entirely using font characters. It is designed as an "accordion" booklet which consists of 2 pieces of paper passing through each other to create an exciting experience.

I believe the uniqueness and playfulness of the design matched very well with my layout and concepts.
